Amongst the trees, amongst my freedom My hands are red, I have been bleeding
If you listen closely to the lyrics and the way the song it sung, the listener can conclude that there is tragic meaning behind her words. My interpretation is that she has gone through some type of bloodshed, whether it be literal through the killing of another human being (I’m assuming abortion) “What will happen, what will happen when I seduce you, teacher?” & ” Everyone’s asking where’s your child in this plan” or figurative through a relationship that she had with the man described. Either way, I feel as though I am going on a journey with her as she struggles to rid the blood from her fingers.
